Gulliver plushie~ (from Eureka 7) + cosplay update
I made a plushie of Gulliver today. :D
At least he turned out fat. XD;
Ahaha, these aren't good pics. X3;;doesn't want to show Gulliver from the front since the face doesn't look quite right Gulliver's actually not yet complete...the head's not attached. I merely fixed it on with needles. I'm considering remaking the head (such a pain though) since it's too big in comparison with his body. (Gulliver's head should be TINY.) Or maybe I should remake the body. Hm.
Anyway, the white part's fleece and the black parts are felt. I wish I had black fleece. I need to get wider red ribbon. This one's really narrow. It was the ribbon I bought for my Rikkai cosplay, though I ended up using an even narrower one for that. X3;;

As for my Eureka cosplay...well, I only have the buttons and the boots taken care of. I made the buttons out of cloth wrapped around bottle caps. X3; The boots...I planned on making from scratch...but I couldn't figure out how to start. The toe part and the heel part is just...hard. So...I ended up using the white gogo boots I had bought. Cut it shorter and then...colored it.
You can totally see all these lines! And the zipper's in the side and not in the front. But still, these boots look much better than anything I'd be able to make from scratch. Though, the boots are a little too fat for my legs... ^^;;
Now I'm working on the pouch she has wrapped around her leg. Need to figure out how to make that yellow metal thing around her neck too...any ideas?
AX is next next week. There's still so much to do before that. I don't know what I want to do at the convention though...everything comes with LINES. Lines, lines, and more lines!! I'll probably just end up in line all the time. The only thing that's for sure on my list of to-do at the convention, is well, going to the Tenipuri gathering. That's about it, I guess.
BTW, are we supposed to be getting our badges in the mail? :O

I think the boots look great too! You probably won't be able to see the lines unless you look closely. Maybe some shoe paint or fabric would look more even?

I'm also thinking of making Gulliver slippersI would've used shoe paint...but I have no idea where to get that. D: I opted not to use fabric because the round parts would be hard to do. ): Well, I don't plan on improving on these particular boots, but for next time (that is, if my cosplays for next year require custom shoes!), I'll try to think of something better~
I know, AX is so SOON. But I haven't gotten my badge yet. ): Has anyone? Are they sending them out like last year?

He's from the anime Eureka seveN. He's fat. And heavy. I have no idea what kind of creature he is...maybe a lamb/pig mix? He's awfully adorable. :D

There's this guy who did a who mathematical spiel on it, how it has to be a certain length and width for there to be pockets to tuck into. Oo;; *is not that crazy*)

:O So that kind of folding is...well, Japanese? The folding's very complicated. It turned out really well. I almost thought it was a photo when I hadn't opened the envelope yet since it was thick and smallish in size. Oh, and thank you for the sweet letter. For the boots, what did you paint it with? Nail polish? Or Acrlic paint?

DX They're white go go boots that I cut shorter. The boots are too big (wide!) for me. I should have bought them a size smaller.

Ah, I just saw your comment over at deviantart. I was going to link you there if you wanted to see more pics of Gulliver. I sold Gulliver last year at AX for $35. Is that all right with you? If you're going to Anime Expo in LA on the weekend of July 4th, you can pick him up from me there. Or I can mail him to you, but I'm not sure how much shipping is.
If you're sure you want to buy Gulliver, I'll finish making a new Gulliver for you~. I finished making his body last year but I haven't made his head yet. ^^; The three I made last year were either already sold or given away.
