Yuletide!

yuletide author names have been revealed! Thank you Esmenet for the beautiful Mekakushi no Kuni fic. When I went through the prompts list to find a prompt to write a treat for during Madness, I came upon your letter with your Mekakushi no Kuni prompt and thought, huh, what if you were my writer? And you were, wow!

Thank you darkicedragon for all the treats! I knew it was you. XD Noblesse! Tegami Bachi! I'm so happy you wrote Noblesse. :) Tegami Bachi was sure unexpected. ;D

I wrote three fics (1 more than for all my previous Yuletides, whoot!) I... already babbled about them when I reposted them here.

I managed to write 12k words in one week. It's like NaNo all over again! *flails* Yes, one week, because I didn't start until very near the deadline. It was one week of crazy writing! After NaNo, 1000 words has become so easy, except nothing happens for me in 1k words. Which then meant the fics got longer, and longer, and longer... when I was reading other people's Yuletide fics, I was very envious of how much they could say with much fewer words than me.

Lots of stuff amused me this Yuletide.

#1. I requested two of Tsukuba Sakura's series this year (Mekakushi no Kuni and Yoroshiku Master) and opted not to request Penguin Revolution. Guess what I ended up getting assigned? XD; Penguin Revolution. I then found out I had bookchan's Penguin Revolution prompt saved from last year. :)

#2. I checked my gifts page frequently. When I saw I had one gift, I immediately checked the fandoms list and figured out that I was going to be receiving Mekakushi no Kuni fic, which meant it was already going to be a very Tsukuba Sakura filled Yuletide for me. *g* Thank you, Esmenet, for the beautiful Mekakushi no Kuni fic! I was already very awed that you got it up so early (I'm such a last minute person), and it was such a beautiful fic that made me like Namiki even more than before (how is that even possible?).

#3. Pinch hit! I jumped on cairnsy's pinch hit because, eee, Yoroshiku Master! With this, that meant I was writing a Tsukuba Sakura series (Penguin Revolution) for my main assignment, a Tsukuba Sakura series (Yoroshiku Master) for my pinch hit, and receiving a Tsukuba Sakura series fic (Mekakushi no Kuni) for my gift. How awesome is this?

#4. Right after I uploaded my Yoroshiku Master fic for cairnsy, the number of Yoroshiku Master fics jumped from 0 to 2. I went "bwaaah??" and checked to see that nope, I didn't receive any Yoroshiku Master fics, so that had to mean that Cairnsy received 2. I immediately suspected the other writer was darkicedragon. *g* And I was right. I also started thinking... what if we wrote the same kind of plot? XD; Well, we did both write kisses in the story... XDD

#5. So all the extra treats I received? I suspected they were all from darkicedragon, and I was right about that too. =P THANK YOU FOR BEING SO AWESOME.

#6. Since I thought most, if not all, of my treats were from darkicedragon, I wanted to give something in return. So I pulled a 1/2 Prince fic out of nowhere. Well, more like in the span of a few hours. *g* I was catching up with the manhua and saw that Yang Ming and Lolidragon (along with Sunshine) conveniently disappeared from the main story together on a mission. I thought this was perfect to explore. :) I don't have very many plunnies for 1/2 Prince that I can write without spoiling people about later events in the novels, but this was something that I could finally explore! (Sadly, I think Yang Ming ended up talking more with Sunshine than with Lolidragon in the fic...)

#7. I thought I ran into a number of darkicedragon's fics while going through the Yuletide archive. I did not know I actually managed to identify all 11 of them. XDD I feel special, haha.


Stuff that did not amuse me (or shouldn't). XD

#1. My fics wouldn't end! *flails* Why so long? I thought I did better with my second fic, but my third fic ended up 4,000+ words long.

#2. I accidentally used Yukari's name (Penguin Revolution's main character) instead of Kurumi's name (Yoroshiku Master's main character) in my Yoroshiku Master fic. Oops? I didn't manage to catch that until I read the fic over several times. 0___0;; They are both heroines drawn by Tsukuba Sakura...

#3. I think the fandoms I'm writing are more and more obscure? :'D

Uh... I think that's about it. :)
