ILT, In the Name of God
I recently received Illusions-Lies-Truth, V3, the start of case 2, which is called "In the Name of God." (Case 1 was called Human Doll Contract.) Yu Wo has really ramped up the horror factor in this volume. I read some comments over at Prince Revolution! about how Dominion's End feels kind of scary. Just wait until you read ILT! XD;; DE is more of a thriller than a horror, in that it really keeps you on the edge and worried for everyone's safety, while ILT is heavy on the supernatural and creepy phenomena. There's also a lot of blood and death and some gore. :'D; Normally, this is not a genre I would read. XD;;; V1 and V2 were quite innocent in the creepy factor, but goodness, V3, just what are you. But because it's Yu Wo, the humorous aspects balance the creepy out, haha.

Here's V3~~. I bought the version that came along with this pen holder thing. Not sure how useful it will be, haha. The cover features Guan Ting! <3 (Lu Yang, when are you going to get to be on the cover? Though, I guess he did already get his own side story with a pretty image to go along with it)

Inside insert poster! Ziya!!! D:
Now that Ziya has learned more about all this supernatural stuff, he wants to help Lu Yang out, so Lu Yang takes him on his first job. Ziya also joins a club at his university this time (lots of new characters introduced). Both the job and the club quickly spiral out of control. :'D;;

Ziya's boss at the bookstore.

A guardian angel. He's really cute. (This isn't Guan Ting, who is on the cover. I'm thinking the cover featured Guan Ting just as symbolism for what happened in the story. Guan Ting and Guan Jia actually don't play very large parts in this book)

Ziya's brother-in-law.
I really enjoy how each volume has character art for the character intros~~.
This volume ends on a cliffhanger. T____T Anyway, it seems that ILT is very much going to be a slice-of-life story, featuring Ziya dealing with supernatural stuff that happens around him. There's been an overarching mystery with the Jiang family (Just what happened to Ziya's parents? How did Jiang Jiang and Jiang Xue come about? What happened in that car accident?) but other than that mystery, it seems that Ziya will be dealing with strange cases as they come. Since Ziya is now helping Lu Yang out, I'm guessing that they will be dealing with a lot of different cases together as they take on different jobs. I'm hoping to see a lot more if Ziya and Lu Yang's friendship. And I'd love more of Guan Jia and Guan Ting too.
We also meet Lu Yang's dad in this book. He seems friendly. XD;; By the way, Lu Yang's English name is Luke.

The cover is quite pretty. The image wraps around! Except, I noticed that the image is completely off... There's this huge white stripe on the right. T____T;; I wonder if they're all like that, or if I got a defective copy. Sadness. (is it supposed to be like that... It's quite strange, because the white part even has a rounded corner... so maybe??)
I have successfully acquired a copy of Unbeatable, but it's over at my relatives' house in Taiwan. |D;; And a copy of Just Like Wind 2, the LanbixFahr doujinshi. I'll get them in April. /continues to buy stuff
I started a No Hero story over at the Round Robin post. Can we get something going...? XD;; There was a comment with some very fun ideas that I'd love to see!
