I seriously think the teachers should do at least some character review before choosing... (*sight* three years to get Ceo to look, at pictures, without blushing...) I would probably die if I had to force train someone to act completely different from what he actually is....
I found it in one of the translations, Grisia explaining on Stone Knight, says when in training he was about to be kicked out because he didn't want to act stubborn, Neo commented on how suborn the child was, for not wanting to act stubborn, and then saw around a hundred of those faces... . also saw it in a fanart with sun making that same face (and the description had it again)
now that you mention it, it'd also be nice to hear how the rest of the teachers choose the current knight.
