For the first two weeks of August, I went off to Taiwan~. Been back from the trip for around a week (busy busy trying to settle in with work and catch up with stuff). It's been 17 years since I've traveled there. Boy, do I remember very little of Taiwan. Some things haven't changed though, while some stuff has changed a lot. But what's different about this trip is that I had places and events I wanted to cram in, with a shorter stay than any of my previous trips to Taiwan, so it was a trip with a super full itinerary. Went out bright and early every day and didn't get home until around 11 pm every night. Walked my feet off. XD There was no rest at all. I became very familiar with the public transit. I also got to see my relatives who I haven't seen in just as long as I haven't been back to Taiwan. 17 years!! (I was so tiny back then.)

Stuff I bought from Anime Expo!

Day 1, I spent a good chunk of my time lining up for Yamamato Sayo and Kubo Mitsurou's autograph, while Days 2-3 were spent on trying to attend panels (and often failing). Day 4 was my shopping day! I wrote up some notes on the panels that I did get to attend, so I'll at least be posting about those.

Got myself another Arslan Senki poster. o/ My favorite one is the one shown on the box though. Haven't come across that one yet. Arslan looks gentler there~.

So, I went to Anime Expo and am back already, with a Yosemite trip thrown in right after~. Now I feel like my summer is truly starting. XD But, it looks like pictures from Photobucket got broken while I was away. They've changed their service to make linking on third-party sites prohibited unless you upgrade. I thought, maybe I will upgrade my account if it doesn't cost too much.

...Turns out, it costs $300 per year to make third-party linking available. OTL

So yeah. I've uploaded my photos somewhere else, but only the 2016-2017 photos when I started using photobucket again. For a good period before that, I was using Picasa, and then before before that, it was photobucket, but I don't think I'll be reuploading all those photos. I hope Dreamwidth's own image service will be upgraded in the future for better utility and storage. It'd sure make things easier!

Some Spring 2017 anime I finished watching:

Shingeki no Kyojin season 2, Natsume Yuujinchou Roku, Yowamushi Pedal New Generation, Kenka Banchou Otome Girl Beats Boys, Starmyu 2nd season, Kado The Right Answer )

Man, I have a backlog of conventions to post about. I've fallen out of the habit of timely blogging, pfft. Anyway, hoping I'll get around to posting about these cons. I'm very much hoping it'll happen.

♥ Anime Expo 2016 (a retrospective by now XDD)
♥ Anime Revolution 2016 (also a retrospective by now haha)
Fanime 2017 (the events and some more cosplay pics)
♥ Anime Expo 2017

I might attend a day or two of Crunchyroll Expo next month. Hope they announce more guests~~. Also, Dominion's End v5 was released! I've ordered my copy, but I won't get it until August.

Fanime Day 0

Fanime is here~. Badge pick up was beautiful. Walked in and walked out. It was so quick that I didn't even get a good look at what the registration area looked like. There were several scanning stations for us to scan our QR codes, and then our badges were printed out to the side. Done. I hope it's like this next year too!

I swung by Swap Meet after that and found bought stuff~. Never thought I'd see the Hikaru no Go PS Heian game. I watched a play through of that many years ago. It's an amusing game. XD Also got myself clearfiles of Kimi to Boku (I'm loving the one with the twins and Kaname all with glasses) and Seiyuu Ka, a poster of Sai from Naruto, a Gyakuten Saiban fanbook with CD, and a Gyakuten Saiban postcard book. Never thought I'd see something of Seiyuu Ka around.

Days, Akayona

Days

Finished marathoning Days~. The beginning was a bit tiring, but the ending was quite intense. :D I started liking Kimishita near the middle of the series, and goodness was he amazing in the last few episodes. XD I quite liked a lot of the characters and just how friendly the team is with each other. Mizuki is such a funny captain and so out of it (a pure soccer idiot), Usui is scarily calm and reliable, Kimishita is just so angry yet diligent, and Kazama is a true friend. Kazama and Tsukushi, seriously. The girls were great too. Tsukushi's mom is the best. Sayuri too, though she didn't show up much. Ubukata was a great addition as well. She's tough. The rivals weren't very memorable though. And the team uniforms are all quite plain, haha.

The first years have made quite a lot of growth. I like that there's quite a batch of first years. Looking forward to what kind of team they'll make, Kurusu especially~ (they're all so inspired by Tsukushi hahaha). Will miss Mizuki though.

Winter Anime

Currently following Yowamushi Pedal New Generation and Masamune-kun no Revenge. Yowamushi has been great! Especially with how much of the spotlight Teshima is getting at the moment. :DDDDDDDDD /swoons

Masamune-kun no Revenge has been pretty silly and seems like it'll be a pretty amusing romcom. Not sure what else to watch. Might end up marathoning some more series I haven't kept up with if there's nothing else of interest.
Anime I just recently finished watching. (Winter or not)

I actually watched quite a few series this season, and the majority of them all aired on Saturday, haha...

Not spoiler free!

winter anime: Ace of Diamond, Aldnoah Zero, Boueibu, Bonjour Sweet Love, Durarara, Magic Kaito 1412, Shigatsu wa Kimi no Uso, Shirobako, Yowamushi Pedal )

older anime: Ginga Kikoutai Majestic Prince, Shingeki no Bahamut Genesis, Sword Art Online II, Ookami Shoujo to Kuro Ouji, Hitsugi no Chaika )

still watching: Sailor Moon Crystal, World Trigger )

New season, I'm hoping to check out Arslan Senki, Yamada-kun to 7-nin no Majo, Ace of Diamond S2, Ore Monogatari, Yahari Ore no Seishun Rabukome wa Machigatteiru Zoku, Kyoukai no RINNE, and maybe Owari no Seraph and Plastic Memories.

I've read the manga for Yamada-kun. I'd always hoped that Yankee-kun to Megane-chan would get an anime, but the mangaka's other work being adapted is great too. It's like my other favorites all over again... I like Oresama Teacher, the mangaka's newer work, Gekkan Shoujo Nozaki-kun gets adapted. I like NG Life, the mangaka's newer work, Akatsuki no Yona gets adapted. I like Yankee-kun to Megane-chan, the mangaka's newer work, Yamada-kun gets adapted. Well, I'm glad their newer works are popular enough to get the anime treatment! ♥ I watched episode 1 of Yahari Ore... (Oregairu). Hikki's monologues are the best. I chuckled a lot through the episode. I hadn't finished S1 of Baby Steps, so no S2 for me until I do.

(Wow, looking at my previous post, I watched everything I planned on watching, and then some, except for Nanatsu no Taizai)
Signed up for [livejournal.com profile] tenipuri_xpair and got my assignment! \o\ Due date is July 15. It will be fun writing my once in a blue moon Tenipuri fic. XD I'll need to get my mind back on Tenipuri for this.

I'm currently reading through Yowamushi Pedal (on volume 11) and Orange Chocolate (on volume 10). The art for YP is sometimes quite weird... but I do find several of the characters to be cute even in that style, especially Onoda and Manami. Onoda is a climber~ ♥ Overdrive made me like climbers, hahaha.

I bought several volumes of Orange Chocolate but didn't continue reading the rest of the series until now. Bodyswaaaaaaap. I just wish they're swapped more often, haha. They seem to dislike the original foods they dislike even while swapped (different theory from mine XD;;;), and the body remembers even memories, like lines they've memorized for a play. Interesting. I quite adore how close Chiro and Ritsu are. It's a type of closeness that no one can get between. ;) Ritsu's quite good at pretending to be Chiro since he's studied her for many years, but Chiro... XD;; Well, I feel she's pretty good at it too, and I love when she manages to bring out something different in his acting.

sjdf;asf;d Sequel to The Hero's Guide to Saving Your Kingdom is already out, and it's called The Hero's Guide to Storming Your Castle. I need to get my hands on this! How did I completely miss that it's already been out for some time... I can't wait. :)

I wasn't going to buy Animal Crossing: New Leaf until later, but my brother called and told me, "If you don't buy it now, it might go out of stock!!!!" And then it'd be like Fire Emblem: Awakening all over again where no store has the game for weeks, ahhhhhhh. (Well, I don't think AC will have quite that bad a shortage... Nintendo already knew AC would be quite popular, yeah?) In any case, I wanted to be sure that I'd have the game in time for Anime Expo so that I could play it with my brother during that trip. XD; So, just to be sure, I picked up a copy for myself today~. Haha, man, this time, we start off in a tent?! Tom Nook, you're not even giving us a house anymore?!!! Welp, I made my down payment, so I better see a house tomorrow! =P This game is really cute. XD;

Also, I'm trying to post daily in my LJ, since my posts have become fairly sporadic. Whether it's fic or other random rambling, I'll be posting something. At least for June, haha.
